Photo-a-Day - January 2013 - Day 5: Chimney

Photo-a-Day - January 2013 - Day 5: Chimney
One the left is the most interesting local chimney I could find.  The inclusion of the upright bricks, for no apparent reason, caught my eye.

The two on the right are from Sonning-on-Thames.  Now those are chimneys!  Each chimney provides the venting for multiple fireplaces.  I wonder how well they drew the smoke?

  1. These chimneys look awesome! Are they from British flats? Chimneys provide a passageway for the smoke that comes from the fireplace. As such, it is very important to maintain and keep it from creosote from fumes that forming inside the pipes to avoid unnecessary fires.

  2. I like the look of old chimneys. They give this rustic and decade-old feel which makes them look more interesting. Although, yearly maintenance is essential to keep creosotes out of your chimneys. Creosotes are very dangerous substance that can cause unnecessary fires.
