Photo-a-Day - March 2012 - Days 1-5

Yes, I joined.  And it occurred to me that I should keep track here of the photos I've posted for each day.  So, here goes:
Day 1 - UP:
Looking across our fence toward my neighbors on a foggy early morning

Day 2 - Fruit:
Limoges fruit bowl on the bottom of which I found in an antique store shopping with my friend Georgianne and my Mom in Burlingame, California.

Day 3 - My Neighborhood:
The disadvantage of living in an urban area is having close neighbors.  The advantage of living in the Bay Area is being able to see across the Bay to the hills on the Peninsula.

Day 4 - Bedside:
In the same antique shop as I'd found the Limoges bowl, I found this wonderful bedside chest.  It was a different shopping day, but my friend Georgianne was with me for this one as well.  The print above the chest is by James Christiansen and includes many of the characters from Shakespeare's plays.  If you look closely, you'll see the figure of Prospero in the lower right.  If you look at the table top, you'll see a cast figure of a magician in almost exactly the same position.  Serendipity.  The print over my bed is also by Christiansen of Queen Mab and the Fairies.  Yes, fantasy is a major theme in my bedroom.

Day 5:  A Smile:
What is better than the smile of a friend.  My friend Carol, whom you'll see later, and I spend a day at Geralyn's house watching old movies (The Slipper and the Rose), having a spaghetti fest and chatting up a storm.
