Photo-a-Day - March 2012 - Day 27: Your Name

There was a time when, to relieve stress, I'd take my compound bow and graphite arrows up to the target range and trail up to the Redwood Bowl Archery Range within Roberts Regional Park.  The fact that the park with my family name--no relationship--always made me smile. 

The photo I really wish I had was when I was the only one at the range one evening.  A family of seven deer came out to feed.  I always felt the perfect shot would have been me in the foreground, with my bow, quiver, arrows and shooting glove, and the deer about 20 feet away feeding as the mist rose from the ground.  Ah well, the image is indelibly imprinted in my memory.
