Not so much a child's toy, perhaps. My mother loves kaleidoscopes and she loves music boxes.  When I found this kaleidoscope music box, I couldn't resist buying it for her.  Although my mother is 85 and incredibly healthy, she has every practical drop of Scottish blood that runs through our family tree and believes in passing on as much as she can before she does--may that not be for many, many years--so she sent it back to me a couple of years ago.  Don't worry, she still has a number of small music boxes that I've given her--"They don't take as much room, dear.".
